ASAKUSA

Half day trip to Asakusa on November 17

Duration: 5 hours

In this tour, participants will enjoy the historical atmosphere in Tokyo.
In Asakusa you can browse the many colorful stores lining the Nakamise Walkway leading up to Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest and most famous Buddhist temple.
After that, participants will visit Kappabashi Street, famous for creating and selling handmade and realistic plastic renditions of all kinds of dishes. In addition to these popular food displays, you can find almost every kind of restaurant equipment imaginable at Kappabashi Street.

KAMAKURA

One day trip to Kamakura on November 18

Duration: 8.5 hours

Kamakura is a popular tourist destination for its temples, shrines, and historical monuments.
Enjoy visiting Kamakura's Great Buddha towering at approximately 13 meters (44 feet) at the famous Kotoku-in Temple. After lunch, participants will visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the symbol of Japan’s first Shogun Minamoto Yoritomo who founded his Shogunate in Kamakura in the end of the 12 century. It is widely known for its arched bridge, Genji Pond (the Pond of Genji or Minamoto Clan) & Heike Pond (the Pond of Genji's Rival Heike Clan), and colorful Main Hall which stands atop 62 stone steps. At the walk through Komachi Street, participants are sure to enjoy local shops, cafes, and eateries selling all kinds of things including local crafts.
